HTC BANNED ?

HTC had a rough go of it in the legal field, this year, the company has just received a legal setback in Germany. The celebration of the signing of patents (ie, the patent troll) IPCom obtained a court order in 2009 against HTC HTC devices based on alleged infringement of a patent on the 3G UMTS IPCom. HTC appealed the order in 2009 to suspend its application, and today, the German court upheld the earlier decision. With the mandate back in full force, IPCom intention to apply sanctions against the Taiwanese company and the prohibition of the sale of its products in Germany. So this means HTC will have to pony money for a PI license in question or leave a lot of fans disappointed come Christmas morning beatings.
